Whenever I’m in Florida around the holidays, one of my favorite things to do,(besides being in the parks) is to visit some of the Disney Resorts to see their Holiday decorations. All the Disney resorts decorate for Christmas around November but the deluxe resorts are my favorite ones to visit. Each Disney Resort usually decorates according to the theme of the resort. It’s so much fun to walk the lobbies and look at all the different themed trees. Disney holiday decorations add so much magic to an already magical time of the year. You can either visit these resorts on a park day or make an entire day out of it and tour several of the resorts. I have been to most of them during this time so here are some of my favorites! Not that they do change and add new things from time to time so it’s always fun to check back. Here are some pictures of some of the decor that you may see at these resorts.
Beach Club- I love anything that has to do with the sea, so of course whimsical beach decor is a draw for me. My favorite decoration is the chocolate and gingerbread carousel. It actually spins and the attention to detail is amazing! You can also buy gingerbread cookies from the lobby as well.
Yacht Club- After visiting the Beach Club you should walk over to the Yacht Club. Their theme is nautical of course, but one of the best decorations they’ve had was their train and village!
Grand Floridian- The Grand has so many decorations to look at! They probably have the biggest Christmas tree of all the resorts which is a site to behold! There is also an enoramous gingerbread house in the lobby that you can buy gingerbread and other goodies from. Don’t forget to look through there shops to as they have holiday window displays!
Polynesian- I love everything about The Polynesian so their unique ornaments and decor on my favorites list. I love how the ornaments on this tree were various tropical flowers and fish! They also have gorgeous holiday swags and lots of Poinsettia in their lobby.
Have you seen any of the holiday decorations at the Disney Resorts? If so, which ones are your favorites?
